Consultant Partner

Lawyer, mediator, with academic background (Advanced postgraduate studies diploma in Private Law, Diploma in Mediation Panthéon-Assas).

Until 2009 she worked as a legal officer within large companies, and was involved in managing interdepartmental projects on an international scale, negotiating conventions and collective agreements with employee representatives, resolving high-stakes disputes amicably and in the courts, and providing operational advice and training at the head office, on the factory floor and in subsidiaries.

She specialises in negotiation and in managing organisational conflicts, and since 2010 has been worked in situations of disagreement, crisis or workplace conflict, and intensification or breakdown of dialogue between employees and management: complex negotiations, workplace mediation, bullying investigations, targeted diagnoses, etc.

She works as a trainer (e.g. Liaisons Sociales Formations, Lamy, Comundi) and as adviser, supporting companies concerning psychosocial issues: qualitative diagnoses, social climate audits, impact studies and monitoring action plans (management practices, organisation).

Her on-the-ground experience means that she truly understands the difficulties and expectations of organisations.

Bruno Lefebvre
Partner Founder

Clinical psychologist, adviser to companies and legal firms, coach to managers, directors and lawyers, lecturer (HEC Executive Education Paris, CentraleSupélec Paris, HEDAC, Université Paris Descartes)

As a clinical psychologist, Bruno started by working for three years in Beaujon Hospital with patients facing alcohol and drug dependencies. Bruno enjoys his clinical practice, but has gradually moved his focus to work-related problems.

Moved by a desire to run a business, Bruno founded AlterAlliance in 2006 with the objective of offering an alternative in the field of occupational health, somewhere in between a discourse which demonised companies by encouraging a pattern of victims/compensation and a discourse which trivialised workplace suffering by reducing it to a matter of adapting to change or training.

Since then, Bruno has led a multidisciplinary team of experts based on two positions:

– The development of working communities. Today good performance is the result of collective efficiency. This is connected to debating about work: the more involved employees are in defining their work, the more loyal and committed they will be.

– Improving managerial behaviour: it is increasingly the case that it is not sufficient for a manager to be an expert in their field, but they must also continually work on their managerial skills in order to ensure that efficiency is never obtained at the cost of health (including their own!) and that the management methods used are adapted to the strategic goals and cultural aspects, as well as to employees’ new expectations.

Within AlterAlliance, Bruno’s duties including providing advice, diagnosis/support in the creation of action plans and their follow-up, training/co-development workshops, creating and leading face-to-face and virtual communities of managers and individual and collective coaching of managers, directors and lawyers.

Bruno is well known as a coach for managers and directors in the following companies: BPCE, GROUPAMA, AG2R La Mondiale, TOTAL, ARKEMA, Aéroports de Paris, RENAULT, Valéo, MICHELIN, OgilvyOne, Elsevier Masson, Ramsay Générale de Santé, MERCER, etc.

Bruno also provides coaching to lawyers on a regular basis, so is well known in the following firms and institutions: Ordre des avocats de Paris, CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre, DLA PIPER, FIDAL, etc.

Bruno feels that our practices are the result of ongoing learning and comparison with academic knowledge, so he devotes a significant share of his time to teaching: HEC Paris Executive Education, CentraleSupélec Paris (2nd year and Master: “Support company restructuring from a human perspective”; “Managing psychosocial issues cutting across ideologies”), HEDAC (Haute Ecole des Avocats Conseils), Université Paris-Descartes (Master 2 IRH: “the role of HR in managing psychosocial issues”), Ecole de Formation du Barreau (CPD: “Lawyers: how to balance well-being and performance?”).

Bruno has also written and co-written around fifteen articles and three books, including :

  • “Stress and psychosocial risks: understand, intervene, prevent”, Elsevier Masson, first edition 2011, second edition 2015
  • “Be authentic at work. How to accomodate efficiency and health”, InterEditions-Dunod, 2019.
